Taking part in the Game Changer Challenge?

<div class&equals;"edu-highlight-panels&lowbar;&lowbar;panel edu-highlight-panels&lowbar;&lowbar;variation edu-highlight-news">&NewLine;<div class&equals;"edu-highlight-panels&lowbar;&lowbar;content">&NewLine;<div class&equals;"lead">&NewLine;<h2>Think your school has what it takes to solve a wicked problem&quest; Get your team ready to answer the next big question – how can we humanise technology&quest;<&sol;h2>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<div>The Game Changer Challenge is a three-day design thinking sprint which takes place during Education Week and involves 16 teams from schools across NSW working with department educators and industry partners spanning educational technologies&comma; creative industries and innovation to solve a complex 21st Century real-world problem&period;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<div>&NewLine;<h3>Read or hear the <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;education&period;nsw&period;gov&period;au&sol;public-schools&sol;education-week&sol;game-changer-challenge&sol;transcript-for-the-game-changer-challenge-strikes-back-video">transcript for The Game Changer Challenge Strikes Back<&sol;a> video&period;<&sol;h3>&NewLine;<p>Launched in 2018&comma; the Game Changer Challenge has become an annual event open to our 2&comma;200&plus; schools and 823&comma;000 students across NSW&period; The challenge is designed to make strong learning and teaching connections to the NSW syllabus specifically in the area of developing general capabilities such as critical thinking&comma; collaboration&comma; creativity&comma; communication and problem-solving&period; The challenge also provides teachers with an opportunity to gain exposure to the design thinking process and includes teacher resources to introduce this creative problem-solving methodology into the classroom&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>All schools are invited to form a team of six students and two teachers and apply to participate in the 2019 challenge which will be held in Sydney during Education Week &lpar;5 – 9 August 2019&rpar;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Full event details will be available from April 1 on the <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;education&period;nsw&period;gov&period;au&sol;public-schools&sol;education-week&sol;game-changer-challenge">Game Changer Challenge <&sol;a>webpage&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<h2>Last year&&num;8217&semi;s Game Changer Challenge<&sol;h2>&NewLine;<p>The first-ever Game Changer Challenge took place between Tuesday 7 August &&num;8211&semi; Thursday 9 August 2018 at the department&&num;8217&semi;s new state office in Parramatta&period; It explored the big question&comma; what will the school of the future look like&quest;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Carenne School in Bathurst was named the secondary school winner of the inaugural challenge competition for its &OpenCurlyQuote;wellness biome’ in a natural environment with learning pods&comma; calming water features&comma; comfortable furniture and the school counsellor and therapy dog nearby&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Cudgegong Valley Public School was crowned winner of the primary school division with its plans for a sustainable school self-sufficient in power&comma; water and food&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Read more about the <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;education&period;nsw&period;gov&period;au&sol;news&sol;latest-news&sol;game-changer-challenge-winners-the-future-is-here">2018 Game Changer Challenge winners<&sol;a>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;
