Handpicked teachers stage high school interventions

<div class&equals;"layout-container container responsivegrid aem-GridColumn aem-GridColumn--default--12">&NewLine;<article class&equals;"gel-content-container">&NewLine;<div class&equals;"cmp-container">&NewLine;<div class&equals;"aem-Grid aem-Grid--12 aem-Grid--default--12 ">&NewLine;<div class&equals;"page-property aem-GridColumn aem-GridColumn--default--12">&NewLine;<div class&equals;"gel-lead">&NewLine;<h3>A team of the best teachers in NSW will roll out to targeted high schools to lift performance using proven and successful teaching methods&period;<&sol;h3>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<&sol;article>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<div class&equals;"responsivegrid container aem-GridColumn aem-GridColumn--default--12">&NewLine;<div class&equals;"aem-Grid aem-Grid--12 aem-Grid--default--12 ">&NewLine;<div class&equals;"text aem-GridColumn aem-GridColumn--default--12">&NewLine;<div class&equals;"cmp-text">&NewLine;<p>The new &&num;8216&semi;Best in Class&&num;8217&semi; Teaching Unit is made up of handpicked educators&comma; chosen for being leaders and teaching experts in their respective fields&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>They&&num;8217&semi;ll share their classroom skills directly with those teachers and students who need it most&comma; while also building a new teaching package to build on existing &&num;8216&semi;best practice&&num;8217&semi; research for NSW Schools&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell joined students to announce the teaching program&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<blockquote>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;We&&num;8217&semi;re investing millions of dollars in school infrastructure across the NSW and we are also committed to supporting students in the classroom&comma;&&num;8221&semi; Ms Berejiklian said&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<&sol;blockquote>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;The teachers selected to deliver the program stand out&comma; and their results speak for themselves&period; We want to replicate these great teaching methods&comma; and share them across all the state&&num;8217&semi;s classrooms&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<h2>HSC students will be the first to benefit from the new approach &&num;8211&semi; with the Best in Class Unit beginning the job this week&period;<&sol;h2>&NewLine;<p>HSC results are already monitored closely as students are completing the last year of high school&period; Comparing these results will provide useful data to monitor the impact &&num;8216&semi;Best in Class&&num;8217&semi; is having on school performance&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Ms Mitchell said Best in Class is a continuation of the NSW Government&&num;8217&semi;s commitment to building excellence in the teaching profession&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;The Best in Class unit will effect real change &&num;8211&semi; and will lift standards across the state&comma;&&num;8221&semi; Ms Mitchell said&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<blockquote>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;We know that the biggest positive impact on students learning is the teacher standing in front of them&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<&sol;blockquote>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;NSW has the highest entry standards for students wanting to become teachers&comma; and now we are using very best teachers to grow the entire profession from the inside out&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;This is an exciting time for education in NSW&comma; &&num;8216&semi;best in class&&num;8217&semi; will allow us to help teachers deliver lessons and improved curriculum to the best of their abilities&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;
