Resource Furniture’s sustainable transformation

Working in collaboration with the school and architects, Resource Furniture has transformed the resource centre at Tyndale Christian School.

<h4>In collaboration with <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;greenwayarchitects&period;com&period;au&sol;" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" rel&equals;"noopener">Greenway Architects<&sol;a>&comma; <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;resourcefurniture&period;com&period;au&sol;" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" rel&equals;"noopener">Resource Furniture<&sol;a> reinvigorated <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;tyndale&period;edu&period;au&sol;" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" rel&equals;"noopener">Tyndale Christian School’s<&sol;a> resource centre and home economics area with a stunning new look&period;<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p>Working with the school&comma; Resource Furniture created a welcoming and vibrant space&comma; with custom soft furnishing&comma; sleek Sliimform library shelving&comma; and a variety of loose furniture&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;school-news&period;com&period;au&sol;latest-print-issue&sol;" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" rel&equals;"noopener"><strong>Read the latest print edition of <em>School News<&sol;em> HERE<&sol;strong><&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Grace Misso&comma; Business Development Executive at Resource Furniture said furniture selection and placement was carefully considered to ensure longevity of the space&period; Sustainable choices to reduce the school’s environmental impact were also important&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The Noom 50 chairs help schools reduce their environmental footprint through ease of stacking and transportation&period; They are also very versatile chairs and can be re-purposed for different areas in the school&period; Tyndale have used them in their home economics area&comma; resource centre&comma; and private meeting rooms&comma;” Ms Misso said&period; Importantly&comma; the chair’s ergonomic design ensures students remain supported throughout lessons and study sessions&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Sliimform system was chosen for shelving&period; Offering versatility and flexibility&comma; one shelf type can be used several different ways&comma; including a flat shelf&comma; angled display shelf&comma; and picture bookshelf&period; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Furniture such as the Sliimform library shelving is locally manufactured with an emphasis on quality and durability&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;30014" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-30014" style&equals;"width&colon; 578px" class&equals;"wp-caption aligncenter"><img class&equals;" wp-image-30014" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;school-news&period;com&period;au&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2025&sol;03&sol;SN35-ADMIN-CS-Resource-Furniture-1-1024x683&period;jpg" alt&equals;"High desks with chairs" width&equals;"578" height&equals;"386" &sol;><figcaption id&equals;"caption-attachment-30014" class&equals;"wp-caption-text">Image supplied by Resource Furniture<&sol;figcaption><&sol;figure>&NewLine;<p>Don Sizeland&comma; Operations Manager at Tyndale Christian School said Greenway Architects chose Resource Furniture for the project because of their extensive range of educational furniture&comma; perfectly suited to the design of the spaces&period; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;From library shelving to study tables&comma; meeting chairs&comma; and soft furnishings for casual seating&comma; Resource Furniture provided comprehensive solutions&period; Their team collaborated closely with Greenway to optimise small spaces&comma; ensuring each area was both functional and inviting&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Response to the new spaces has been positive in every respect&comma;” Mr Sizeland said&period; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;In addition to enhanced functionality&comma; the project delivered a major facelift&comma; improving aesthetics&comma; and the look and feel of the facility with new furnishings&comma; fitting and appliances&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Mr Sizeland said the flexibility and versatility of the spaces has maximised its usability across all year levels&period; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The spaces lend themselves to a wide variety of uses including technology-based learning&comma; focus group&comma; break out spaces&comma; reading and home economics&period; It also provides an area for students to relax and socialise&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;
