<h4>The holidays are finally here and I for one am very ready for a break!</h4>
<p>I&#8217;m based in Queensland where school holidays have already begun. Some of you, though, have slogged through an 11 week Term 4, and I&#8217;m sure no one envy&#8217;s you. Eleven weeks is a long time for any school term, but it does seem particularly cruel to inflict this upon staff and students at the end of the year. Well done for making it through.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s been a busy year in the education sector, and we&#8217;ve enjoyed bringing you all the news you need to know, as well as connecting with schools and principals, teachers and other school staff around the country. Thank you for your support this year, and we hope you&#8217;ve enjoyed our weekly e-newsletters, and our print magazines. You can <a href="https://www.school-news.com.au/latest-print-issue/">read the magazine online anytime</a>, or if you would like a hard copy for your school and haven&#8217;t spotted one in the staffroom or common area, reach out and we can add you school to our mailing list. <p>A big thank you to the <em>School News</em> team for your dedication this year. It can be a lot of work putting the magazine together each term, and the load is made much easier thanks to our team — Shannon Meyerkort for her work on the newsletter each fortnight. Shannon has a knack for finding interesting people and stories to bring you each week and her fresh takes on things are always fun to read; Naomii Seah, our NZ reporter who also writes for our Australian print magazine; Sarah Davison for her fabulous journalistic skills; Dee Dawson and Mandy Clarke, who provide invaluable proofreading and double checking, and all round support for the magazine production; and Richard McGill who handles the magazine design, as well as all of the technical things, and without whom our websites may cease to function!</p>
<p>A very big thank you and good bye to Pip Casey. Pip has been with <em>School News</em> for 13 years, and is moving on to new adventures in 2025. I know many of you have formed strong relationships with Pip over the past decade-and-a-bit, and we will all miss her.</p>
<p>And a final thank you to our partners who have worked with us this year. We look forward to continuing these relationships next year, and forging new ones.</p>
<p>From all of the <em>School News</em> team, I hope everyone has a fabulous break and returns to the 2025 school term refreshed and ready to go!</p>
