&NewLine;<p>As the new school year gets underway&comma; Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Dan Tehan&comma; Minister for Education&comma; have sent a&nbsp&semi;pack to all schools in Australia this term including a letter encouraging schools to take part in the <em>National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence<&sol;em> on 15 March 2019&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The National Day of Action is a national movement against bullying and cyberbullying&period; <strong>Let<&sol;strong><em><strong> School News<&sol;strong><&sol;em><strong> know if you have anything planned to mark this day and we will promote it in our newsletter&period; <&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The pack contains useful information for school communities about the <em>National Day of Action<&sol;em>&comma; and about the recently announced Australian Student Wellbeing Framework&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<figure class&equals;"wp-block-image"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;school-news&period;com&period;au&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2019&sol;02&sol;MD3139977-1024x538&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" class&equals;"wp-image-12650"&sol;><&sol;figure>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The national Framework will support all Australian schools as learning communities that promote student wellbeing&comma; safety and positive relationships&period; All states&comma; territories&comma; education authorities and a range of experts contributed to the design and content of the new Framework during a review managed by Education Services Australia&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<h2 class&equals;"wp-block-heading">&nbsp&semi;The&nbsp&semi;<strong>Australian Student Wellbeing Framework<&sol;strong>&nbsp&semi;has five key elements that focus on&colon;<&sol;h2>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<ul class&equals;"wp-block-list"><li><strong>Leadership<&sol;strong>&colon; inspiring positive school communities through visible leadership<&sol;li><li><strong>Inclusion<&sol;strong>&colon; creating an inclusive and connected school culture<&sol;li><li><strong>Student Voice<&sol;strong>&colon; providing opportunities for authentic student participation<&sol;li><li><strong>Partnerships<&sol;strong>&colon; building effective family and community partnerships<&sol;li><li><strong>Support<&sol;strong>&colon; a shared understanding of wellbeing and support for positive behaviour&period;<&sol;li><&sol;ul>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<blockquote class&equals;"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow"><p>&nbsp&semi;&&num;8220&semi;This is an important initiative for all Australian school communities &&num;8230&semi; evidence has shown that students who feel connected&comma; safe and secure are more likely to be active participants in their learning and to achieve better physical&comma; emotional&comma; social and educational outcomes&period; ESA is proud to have supported the Framework’s development&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p><cite> <br>&nbsp&semi;Andrew Smith&comma; CEO of Education Services Australia <&sol;cite><&sol;blockquote>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The national Framework is aligned to state&comma; territory and other national wellbeing and safety initiatives and to the Australian Curriculum&comma; the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and the Australian Professional Standard for Principals&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>For all resources related to the Australian Student Wellbeing Framework and National Day of Action&comma; visit&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;studentwellbeinghub&period;edu&period;au&sol;">www&period;studentwellbeinghub&period;edu&period;au<&sol;a>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p><em>Education Services Australia is not-for-profit ministerial company&period;<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;
